Composing with the SynQuaNon Demo System

This is a track I wrote with the demo system at the forefront. The sounds I got out of it drove the rest of the composition and arrangement.

The guitar patch for this track has 2 channels that were recorded simultaneously. One, the clean mono guitar sound, goes into the Digitank reverb and then out to the DAW. This forms the foundation for the rhythmic second channel, which polymetrically sequences 3 distinct low pass gates on the top 3 strings, while the bottom 3 strings go directly into the fuzz. The Knit Rider sequencer is being clocked by one of the ochd LFOs, and 3 other ochd LFOs are modulating the Freq CV of the top 3 strings. Hex Fuzz and VCF parameters are set per string.

After recording the initial guitar tracks with the demo system, I found the composition already had quite a full sound. This led me to a more minimal arrangement, finishing it with some choral samples (left channel) and a live tambourine.
