Overview:
The SynQuaNon 16-pin to 13-pin Adapter Box is an integral part of the new SynQuaNon 16-pin upgrade system for guitars with Roland/BOSS GK pickups. It is a low-cost solution to adapting the 16-pin guitar cables to your 13-pin GK synth.
The Adapter Box is designed to fit on a pedalboard to allow the use of a 16-pin guitar kit connecting to an un-modified existing 13-pin synth unit via a short length of 13-pin cable or to an A2D Box and then to your Serial platform unit.
Since the 13-pin short cable is stationary, i.e. not attached to a moving guitar, the reliability risks of such a pedalboard connection are dramatically reduced.
Our 16-pin connectors provide essentially the same pin signals as the GK 13-pin connections, but with the Ground circuit assigned to one of the three extra pins. This provides more security than the standard Roland/BOSS GK-13 system where the Ground circuit is assigned to only its outer case and cable screen.
The remaining two additional pins/channels are available for optional customization such as a 7th String signal, microphone audio, or the Paradis Polybass.
