16-pin to 13-pin Intelligent Converter Box

The SynQuaNon 16-pin to 13-pin Converter Box is designed to fit on a pedalboard to allow the remoting of S1/S2, GK VOL, and Mix Switch functions , making use of standard Roland/BOSS (or equivalent) footswitches and expression pedal. The user has optional foot control of any or all of these functions by adding and connecting the appropriate footswitches as desired; when these are NOT connected to the Converter Box, the functions operate as originally controlled from the switches on the guitar.  

This 16- to 13-pin version of the Intelligent Converter Box also is designed to fit on a pedalboard to allow the use of a 16-pin guitar kit connecting to an un-modified existing 13-pin synth unit via a short length of 13-pin cable or to an A2D Box and then to your Serial platform unit.

Additional configurations include a 13-pin to 13-pin version for those who want to remote their 13-pin guitar GK controls to a pedal board.

The Intelligent Converter Box can also be optionally reconfigured as a 16- to 16-pin version, where a user has chosen to convert their GR-55 and/or GP-10 Synth Unit to 16-pin input connection via short 16-pin cable.

Our 16-pin connectors provide essentially the same pin signals as the GK 13-pin connections, but with the Ground circuit assigned to one of the three extra pins. This provides more security than the standard Roland/BOSS GK-13 system where the Ground circuit is assigned to only  its outer case and cable screen.

The remaining two additional pins/channels are available for optional customization such as a 7th String signal, microphone audio, or the Paradis Polybass.
